FIREbeam Xtra User Manual Distance and Position Guidelines These guidelines are recommendations only and it is important that you refer to your appropriate governing standards at all times. When positioning your FIREbeam Xtra there are important factors that you should consider, mainly what distance you are covering and the optimal position in the building. Distance The standard FIREbeam Xtra is suitable for distances of 7 m to 70m to the reflector. If you require 70m to 140m you will need to use the mid-range reflector extension kit. For ranges of 140m to 160m you will require the long-range reflector extension kit. Distance The FIREbeam Xtra is a Reflective Beam Smoke Detector fully approved to AS7240.12 which can offer a maximum detection range of 160 m. The unit’s newly designed optics increase sensitivity whilst the enhanced internal software reduces fals alar s. The detector comes with a separate controll r unit which allows engineers to commission, monitor and maintain from ground level. Detecti n range is 70 m for the standard unit, increasing to 140 m or 160 m with the addition of the medium or long-range reflector kits. The detector also features advanced motorised technology allowing it to self-align to the centr of th reflector during commis ioning. Once commissioned the detector continually monitors align ent and will automatically realign itself back to the centre of the reflector if any building movement occurs. The ESP FIREBEAM xtra features an integral loop module allowing full connectivity to the Hochiki ESP analogue addressable loop. REFLECTIVE BEAM SMOKE DETECTOR & CONTROLLER
