CHQ-CP Instructions

SINGLE INPUT MONITOR (CHQ-CP) INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FUNCTION The CHQ-CP is a loop powered single input monitor unit designed to be used as a call point module for special applications such as addressable keyswitches and explosion proof call points. The default device type allocated by the Fire Alarm Control Panel will be a standard call point. WIRING DIAGRAM Note: The red loop wires are non-polarised and can be connected either way round. INSTALLATION q If required a red LED can be fitted as shown above. If connected the red LED flashes each time the unit is polled by the fire alarm control panel, and is continuously lit when the input is activated and latched until the unit is reset. SETTING ESP LOOP ADDRESS q The address is set using the first 7 switches of the 8 bit DIL switch. q The switch should be in the up position for ON and down for OFF. q Set the switches as defined opposite for the required address. Note: This device is not compatible with control panels which do not contain the ESP mark. Furthermore it cannot be used on earlier Hochiki analogue systems (before 1994). If in doubt as to the compatibility please consult either the control panel manufacturer or Hochiki Europe.
