TAKTIS-S3 Responding to a Fire Alarm

1. Press –> Silence Buzzer This will silence the internal panel buzzer 2. Once a suitably qualified person has investigated and determined the cause of the FIRE ALARM shown on the FIRE PANEL screen and you wish to proceed to cancel the Evacuation signals. Press –> Silence Alarm This will silence ALL Sounders and Beacons where installed or, in the case of an EWIS system, will remove the trip from the EWIS panel. If the Silence Alarm button is pressed a second time the sounders will reactivate and you will need to silence them again before continuing to step 3 or 4. PLEASE NOTE: Wireless sounders may take up to 1 minute to silence, so please be patient. 3. Once it has been deemed safe and you wish to reset the Fire Alarm as shown on the FIRE PANEL screen. Press –> Reset This will Reset ALL current Fire Alarm conditions on the Fire Panel. At this stage you have 2 options but step 2 must be completed to allow either  Step 3 to Reset the Fire Alarm  Step 4 to Disable the Device/Zone and Reset the Fire Alarm 4. If it has been determined an unwanted alarm (workmen in area, etc) or the same device reoffends after a reset (Step 3) and you wish to Disable the Device/Zone of the Fire Alarm and Reset the Fire Panel. Press –> Disable Press –> Reset This will disable any device or the zone of the current Fire Alarm/s and reset ALL current Fire Alarm conditions on the Fire Panel.
